Jacqueline Parker : Admin & Client Relationships

As a mother to five children, all Jacqueline's work with charities has evolved around life with her children. Through this, the children have made life time friends and have learnt to understand the importance of helping others around them.

Her life within her Church has led her to become involved on a voluntary basis with:

  • Editing the Parish Magazine for 11 years
  • Leading Sunday School for 7 - 11 year olds
  • Leading a pre-school church service for parents and pre-school babies/children
  • Assisting with Youth Club for the 4-11 year old age group

Through her Church charity, Amahwe Uganda, Jacqueline took part in a Christian mission trip to Uganda - the charity is involved with micro finance projects, particularly focussed on groups of women, working with street children, visiting aids orphanages, various projects to build and run maize mills and provide running water and numerous other projects to empower the people to improve the quality of their lives. Jacqueline spent time with groups of women at a conference she helped organise to allow women from different villages to meet and look at ideas and ways of running businesses to improve their quality of life.

In the UK, Jacqueline visited the local school and church to talk to youth groups about the trip and to spread awareness of the charity.

More recently, Jacqueline sat on the Client Board of Your Sanctuary (previously Surrey Women's Aid), looking at policy and procedures for that charity.

Jacqueline has also been Treasurer, then Chairperson, of her local National Childbirth Trust for 11 years. She also trained as a breastfeeding counsellor and worked as a postnatal assistant alongside the Antenatal teacher. She ran the British 10K to raise additional funds for the organisation.
